(aCowena) (NASDAQ: COWN) today announced that Charles Rhyee has joined the firm as Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst, where he will cover Health Care Information Technology (HCIT) and Distribution in the Health Care sector of Cowena™s Research group. Mr. Rhyee will be based in New York and will report to Barry Tarasoff, Cowena™s Director of Research.

Mr. Rhyee joins Cowen and Company with over ten years of experience in healthcare distribution and information technology, most recently serving as a Senior Research Analyst for Healthcare Distribution & Information Technology at Oppenheimer & Co. Prior to this, Mr. Rhyee was an Equity Research Associate at Credit Suisse. He has also held positions at Jefferies & Co., Schwab Soundview Capital Markets, and Smith Barney. Mr. Rhyee received a B.A. in Economics from Columbia University.
