NEW YORK--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--American Express (NYSE: AXP) plans to host a live audio webcast of its investor conference call on Thursday, January 21, 2010, at 5:00 pm (ET) to discuss fourth quarter and year-end 2009 financial results, which are scheduled to be announced shortly after the market closes on that day.

The Company also plans to host its semi-annual financial community meeting on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. (ET). At the meeting, Kenneth I. Chenault, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and Ed Gilligan, Vice Chairman, will provide an overview of the company's business strategy.
