MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Jan. 7, 2010) - Big Red Diamond Corporation ("Big Red") (TSX VENTURE: DIA) is presently planning its 2010 exploration program on its 100% owned Bristol Gold Project, located in the highly prospective West Timmins mining camp.

Big Red's Bristol Gold Project consists of three claim blocks ranging in size from 128 to 784 hectares located in Bristol, Godfrey, and Carscallen townships. The blocks are located 6 kilometres north of Lake Shore Gold's Timmins mine and its Thunder Creek discovery (12.83g/t over 83 metres) and in close proximity to Explor Resources' Porcupine West Gold Project. In March 2009, the Big Red filed on SEDAR a NI 43-101 report for its Bristol project prepared by G.A. Harron & Associates Inc of Toronto, Ontario.

The 2010 exploration program includes grid establishment followed by ground magnetic and induced polarization (IP) surveys. The surveys will be carried out in order to map any discrete anomalies that may be associated with structural deformation zones and possible conduits for mineralizing fluids or economic concentrations of massive to disseminated sulphide mineralization associated with gold mineralization. Big Red will look to initiate diamond drilling to test favourable targets interpreted to be associated with economic mineralization. Additional financing will be sought for the 2010 drill program.
