"Prudential's internship program is a pipeline for top diverse talent from campus," explains Marietta Cozzi, a vice president in staffing. "Interns know that Prudential is committed to providing them with a rewarding experience and enhancing their career development. We believe this ranking reaffirms Prudential's commitment."
Bloomberg BusinessWeek ranked Prudential 24th among the 40 companies profiled. The media outlet's third annual guide to the best companies for internships provides information on the number of interns each company recruits, how many are offered full-time jobs, the number of interns expected to be hired in 2010, even the salaries students receive.
According to Bloomberg BusinessWeek internships have long been seen as a primary recruiting tool at many top employers. But with full-time hiring down, employers on their list understand that an outstanding internship experience is their most effective recruiting tool to snap up the top entry-level job candidates.

They also consider how each employer fared in the annual Best Places to Launch a Career ranking of top U.S. entry-level employers released in September in which Prudential landed #19 on this year's list.
