Hatteras Financial Corp. Sets Record Date for Annual Stockholders? Meeting

WINSTON SALEM, N.C.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Hatteras Financial Corp. (NYSE:[ HTS ]) ("Hatteras" or the "Company") announced today that its Board of Directors has established March 17, 2009, as the record date for determining stockholders entitled to vote at the 2009 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. The meeting will be held on May 6, 2009, at the Old Town Club in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Stockholder proposals must be received by the Secretary of the Company no later than February 9, 2009, in order to be considered for inclusion in the Company's proxy statement relating to the 2009 meeting or to be presented at the 2009 Annual Meeting of Stockholders.
