VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 30, 2009) - Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. (TSX VENTURE:FVI)(BVLAC:FVI) announces that it has accepted the resignation of Arden "Buck" Morrow as a Director of the Company. Mr. Morrow is President, CEO and Director of Northland Resources Inc. and has been a director of Fortuna since 2006. He leaves the Board of Fortuna to concentrate his efforts on the development of Northland.
