Santander has appointed Timothy Wennes as the new CEO of Santander US, effective from January 31, 2025, as part of a broader executive reshuffle. Wennes, who previously served as the head of Santander's auto business in the U.S., will replace Héctor Grisi, who is set to become the group's global CEO in the same year. This transition is part of Santander's strategic plan to enhance its U.S. operations, focusing on growth in retail banking, commercial banking, and wealth management. Additionally, the reshuffle includes other key appointments such as Mahesh Aditya as the new CEO of Santander Consumer USA, and Michael Rittler as the head of the auto business.
