Automaker General Motors said on Tuesday its majority-owned Cruise business will drop the development of robotaxis.

General Motors (GM) has decided to discontinue the development of its Cruise Origin, a fully autonomous shuttle designed without traditional driving controls like a steering wheel or pedals. This decision comes as part of a broader strategy to focus on commercializing Cruise's current technology rather than expanding into new vehicle designs.
