AIG Announces Results of Its 2012 Annual Meeting of Shareholders

NEW YORK--([ ])--Shareholders of American International Group, Inc. (NYSE: AIG) today elected twelve directors at the company's annual meeting of shareholders. The shareholders also voted to support each of the proposals submitted by AIG.

Nominees to the Board were each elected with shares in favor of more than 96 percent of votes cast. The proposals submitted by AIG, including say-on-pay, were approved with shares in favor of more than 99 percent. The results were as follows:
