CHICAGO--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--[ Kemper Corporation ] (NYSE: KMPR) announced today that it has filed a Form 8-K with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), providing a 2011 financial supplement that is retrospectively adjusted for the companyas adoption of Accounting Standards Update 2010-26, Accounting for Costs Associated with Acquiring or Renewing Insurance Contracts. In addition, these financials include a change in how the company allocates capital and net investment income to its business segments. The retrospectively adjusted 2011 financial supplement is also available in the investors section of [ kemper.com ].
As announced previously, Kemper has scheduled an earnings conference call for Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern (10:00 a.m. Central) to review its first quarter 2012 financial results.
