While Noonanas main focus will be on strategic business development, she also will continue as President of the Great Lakes Solutions flame retardants, bromine, and brominated performance products business. To support Noonan in running the daily operations of Great Lakes Solutions, Keith DuPont, Vice President of Global Procurement, will become Vice President and General Manager of Great Lakes Solutions, effective May 1.
As head of Great Lakes Solutions, Noonan led numerous strategic initiatives, including long-term strategic agreements with Tetra Technologies and Albemarle Corporation designed to optimize Great Lakes Solutionsa footprint, while redeploying assets to more sustainable, greener technologies. Noonan was instrumental in developing and implementing a strategy to deliver a technology license with Dow that established Great Lakes Solutions as the first to market with Emeralda" 3000, the greener HBCD alternative. Additionally, Noonan signed a letter of intent with Archean Chemical with the goal of establishing a joint venture for bromine and brominated derivatives in India.
