Beach Business Bank Director, Robb Evans, Is Distinguished Banker of the Year

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA--(Marketwire - Feb 27, 2012) - Beach Business Bank (OTCBB: [ BBBC ]) ( the "Bank") is pleased to congratulate its founding director, Robb Evans, who was recently honored as the Distinguished Banker of the Year at this year's California Bankers Association, Bank President's banquet in Santa Barbara.

"I was completely surprised and flattered to follow in the footsteps of the prior recipients," was Mr. Evans' response. Mr. Evans, one of the founding board members of the Bank, has led an eclectic life in banking and finance that has taken him from Wall Street to Hong Kong and many points in between.

Evans has been a bank employee, officer, regulator or director since beginning his banking career with Bank of America in 1962. Over the years, Mr. Evans has been the chief executive officer of three California Banks, three international "Edge Act" corporations and a Hong Kong merchant bank. He also formed Robb Evans & Associates, LLC which acts as a fiduciary or trustee to administer complex troubled business situations.

Most recently, Mr. Evans has been asked to become a director of First PacTrust Bancorp, following its pending acquisition of Beach Business Bank. "It's the most exciting time to be in banking that I can remember," Evans commented. "I'm excited about the merger of First PacTrust Bancorp and Beach Business Bank and I am very much looking forward to playing an active role in the process and the consolidation that lays ahead for our industry."
