California Bank & Trust Employees Raise Over $95,000 for the United Way
SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - Jan 25, 2012) - California Bank & Trust (CB&T) ([ www.calbanktrust.com ]) is pleased to announce the success of its internal campaign to raise funds for the United Way. California Bank & Trust consistently engages in a variety of outreach initiatives and the capital raised internally from this project demonstrates the organization's top-down commitment to enhancing the local communities.
In our annual internal fundraising campaign for 2012 California Bank & Trust employees have contributed a total of $96,487 which will be earmarked for the local, state and national United Way agencies they specifically designated. The associates at each of California Bank & Trust's 102 offices across the state of California took up the cause to support the United Way.
"We are proud to continue our efforts in supporting the United Way by once again running a successful internal campaign focused on encouraging our employees to contribute to support others in need. This year it is even more important for us to remember those who are less fortunate, especially since many families are facing significant financial challenges," said Betty Uribe, executive vice president and division manager of the Business & Personal Banking Division for California Bank & Trust.
"I am very proud of our employees' spirit of generosity," said Tory Nixon, executive vice president of the San Diego Division for California Bank & Trust. "I am truly moved by their enthusiasm and willingness to contribute their hard-earned dollars in support of their communities."
The United Way operates in nearly 1,300 locations across the country and focuses primarily on issues associated with health, education and income. Over the past decade, California Bank & Trust has consistently been ranked as "Outstanding" for Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) activities by the FDIC.
