Call to Redeem All of its Outstanding Trust Originated Preferred Securities

DETROIT, Nov. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- DTE Energy (NYSE: [ DTE ]) announced the full redemption of all outstanding $180,000,000 7.80% Trust Originated Preferred Securities issued by its affiliate DTE Energy Trust I due February 1, 2032 (NYSE: DTEPRA) and all outstanding $100,000,000 7.50% Trust Originated Preferred Securities issued by its affiliate DTE Energy Trust II due June 1, 2044 (NYSE: DTEPRC). Both series of Trust Originated Preferred Securities will be redeemed on December 29, 2011, the redemption date. The redemption price is 100% of the unpaid principal amount of the Trust Originated Preferred Securities, together with accrued and unpaid interest up to, but excluding, December 29, 2011. The Trust Originated Preferred Securities will be called for redemption in minimum denominations of $25 and in multiples of $25.

Holders owning Trust Originated Preferred Securities through a broker, bank or other nominee should contact that party for information. For more information, holders of the Trust Originated Preferred Securities may call the paying agent for the redemption, The Bank of New York Mellon, at 1-800-254-2826.
