Nuveen Multi-Strategy Income and Growth Fund Announces Shareholder Approvals Regarding Portfolio Repositioning

CHICAGO--([ ])--Nuveen Investments, a leading global provider of investment services to institutions as well as individual investors, today announced that shareholders of the Nuveen Multi-Strategy Income and Growth Fund (NYSE: JPC) approved changes necessary to implement the repositioning of the fundas portfolio at a special shareholder meeting held November 18, 2011.

The repositioning of the fundas portfolio is expected to commence in early 2012, and is intended to increase the attractiveness of the fundas common shares and narrow the fundas trading discount by simplifying its investment mandate to a preferred-focused strategy.
