VINELAND, N.J., July 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Sun Bancorp, Inc. (Nasdaq: [ SNBC ]) reported that its 2011 Annual Meeting of Shareholders was held on July 22, 2011.  At the meeting, shareholders of the Company elected Bernard A. Brown, Wilbur L. Ross, Jr., Sidney R. Brown, Peter Galetto, Jr., Anne E. Koons, Jeffrey S. Brown, Alfonse M. Mattia, Eli Kramer, Thomas X. Geisel, Anthony R. Coscia and William J. Marino as directors. Shareholders also (i) approved the amendment to the Company's Amended and Restated Certificate of Incorporation to increase the number of authorized shares of the Company's common stock from 100,000,000 to 200,000,000 shares; (ii) approved a non-binding advisory resolution on executive compensation; (iii) voted to have advisory votes on executive compensation every three years; and (iv) approved the ratification of the appointment of Deloitte & Touche LLP as the Company's independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2011.
