Umpqua Bank Further Expands Portland Presence by Adding Five New Stores

PORTLAND, Ore.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--[ Umpqua Bank ], a subsidiary of Umpqua Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ: UMPQ), will open five new stores in the Portland metropolitan area over the next 12 months that feature the banka™s signature, innovative retail approach and customer experience. The new locations bring to the greater Portland market a total of 25 Umpqua Bank stores and seven mini stores in local retirement centers.

Four of the five new stores will be located in the following neighborhoods: Hawthorne (opening December 22, 2010), Multnomah Village (opening February 2011), Barnes Road (opening July 2011) and Progress Ridge in Beaverton (opening late 2011). The fifth location will be announced later next year.
