NEWARK, N.J.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE: PRU) earned the highest score of 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaigna™s Corporate Equality Index for its programs and practices that support the inclusion of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) employees, consumers and investors.

The Human Rights Campaign evaluated 615 businesses on their GLBT practices including non-discrimination policies, transgender health benefits and domestic partner benefits. The average rating of Fortune 500 companies was 87 percent.
