WINSTON-SALEM, NC--(Marketwire - November 4, 2009) - Southern Community Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: [ SCMF ]) (NASDAQ: [ SCMFO ]), the holding company for Southern Community Bank and Trust, today confirmed that James Hastings, the Company's Chief Financial Officer and James Monroe, the Company's Treasurer are recovering following non life threatening injuries sustained in a plane crash yesterday near Asheville, North Carolina.
