SANTA BARBARA, CA--(Marketwire - November 10, 2009) - Solutions Group, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: [ SOLU ]) announced today that its subsidiary idrive Monitoring Systems' X1 product has been cleared by the city of Seattle for installation as a safety device. Dubbed the "X1 Seattle" by insiders, a series of modifications needed to be made to qualify and be allowed to be installed in the city's taxis. "The use of the cameras is increasing quickly as they have been proven to reduce accidents and other incidents which translate into greater cost savings for the company operators and significant safety for the cities that employ them. They are the future," stated Steve Jones, a leading taxi Insurance Broker at Key Insurance in Tukwila, Washington.

"I believe that we are currently the only company that has the permission from the city to proceed with the installation of video event data recorders at this time," remarked Curt Andrews, a Sales Agent for idrive. "We believe there is a great market in Seattle and the northwest and we intend on supporting it," he continued.

Seattle has mandated security cameras for all taxis it regulates, but the security cameras offer the taxi drivers protection from assaults and robberies, but do nothing for accident investigation or behavior modification. idrive successfully persuaded the City of Seattle that there was a need for driver behavior modification and accident event recorders, and worked with the City to engineer X-1 Seattle to do that. To support the strict privacy rules enforced in Seattle, the inside camera and all audio capabilities where removed from the idrive X1 device.
