LIGATT Security International, Inc.: LIGATT Security International Introduces Its First Firewall: Cyber Crime Fighter IPS

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - October 15, 2009) - LIGATT Security International (PINKSHEETS: [ LGTT ]) CEO, Gregory Evans, announced LIGATT'S most recent development, Cyber Crime Fighter IPS. Unlike any other firewall, Cyber Crime Fighter includes an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention System (IPS). Using IPS and IDS, Cyber Crime Fighter blocks incoming and outgoing traffic based on regulations set by the user. The IDS will monitor all incoming and outgoing traffic and alert users if something harmful comes across their network. In addition to the IDS, an IPS will stop unknown attacks from happening by analyzing older attacks. Cyber Crime Fighter will be available for purchase on October 19, 2009.

Cyber Crime Fighter will also alert the LIGATT Security Response Team twenty four hours a day, seven days a week to prevent any attempted attacks to a client's network, which will allow LIGATT's trained computer security experts to implement counter-measures to ward off the attackers.

By itself, IDS is commonly mistaken for a firewall or as a firewall substitute. While they both relate to network security, an IDS differs from a firewall in that a firewall looks out for intrusions in order to stop them from happening, usually overlooked by a firewalls simplistic filtering rules. A firewall is normally placed between a protected network and an unprotected network and acts like a gate to protect assets to ensure that nothing private goes out and nothing malicious comes in. The Cyber Crime Fighter includes numerous features including, but not limited to Virtual Private Network (VPN), four options of network zones, HTTP/FTP proxy, DHCP server, SSH server, ping answer configurable and dynamic DNS.
