LIGATT Security International, Inc.: LIGATT Security International Introduces Its First Firewall: Cyber Crime Fighter IPS
ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - October 15, 2009) - LIGATT Security International (
Cyber Crime Fighter will also alert the LIGATT Security Response Team twenty four hours a day, seven days a week to prevent any attempted attacks to a client's network, which will allow LIGATT's trained computer security experts to implement counter-measures to ward off the attackers.
"All three features, the firewall, IPS and IDS, included with Cyber Crime Fighter IPS, are needed to prevent hackers from getting into your network. What if the hacker gets past the firewall? Then the IDS will kick in letting you know that an attack is coming. What if you are under attack but you are not in a location to stop it from happening? Then the IPS will stop the attack from happening. Standing alone, the tools cannot prevent a hacker from getting in, but with all three components together LIGATT has created a powerful combination," says Evans.
By itself, IDS is commonly mistaken for a firewall or as a firewall substitute. While they both relate to network security, an IDS differs from a firewall in that a firewall looks out for intrusions in order to stop them from happening, usually overlooked by a firewalls simplistic filtering rules. A firewall is normally placed between a protected network and an unprotected network and acts like a gate to protect assets to ensure that nothing private goes out and nothing malicious comes in. The Cyber Crime Fighter includes numerous features including, but not limited to Virtual Private Network (VPN), four options of network zones, HTTP/FTP proxy, DHCP server, SSH server, ping answer configurable and dynamic DNS.
"Within the last 30 days LIGATT Security International has acquired and developed computer security products that has put us in a position to compete against larger companies and acquire more clients," says Evans.
