FORT WAYNE, IN--(Marketwire - September 17, 2009) - [ Mike The Pike Productions, Inc. ] (PINKSHEETS: [ MIKP ]) announces today that it has officially launched its Campus Comedy Series as a new brand under its Concerts/Events division. The series will consist of top-notch celebrity talent to appear at universities across the country. MTP Prods CEO, Mark B. Newbauer says that "We'll start out spacing shows every 6-8 weeks starting out as we grow people within the company to facilitate multiple shows running at the same time every 4-6 weeks in this series."

The brand will kick off in MTP's Fort Wayne, Indiana Headquarters at the Indiana/Purdue University campus on October 9, 2009 with university favorite, comedian Mike Birbiglia as a date on his "COMEDY CENTRAL Live Starring Mike Birbiglia: I'm in the Future Also" Tour. The nationwide stand-up tour featuring Birbiglia's captivating storytelling-style of stand-up kicked off in August and MTP Prods is thrilled to host him at IPFW this fall. "COMEDY CENTRAL Live Starring Mike Birbiglia: I'm in the Future Also" marks the third stand-up tour that COMEDY CENTRAL has produced with Birbiglia as the headliner, but the first time that he and the leading brand in comedy have taken to the road exclusively in theaters. Birbiglia has made numerous appearances on "The Late Show with David Letterman," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "Jimmy Kimmel Live," and recently, yes, "The View."

"We've already secured corporate sponsorships and an exclusive radio partner in 92.3 WFWI who hosts the popular nationally syndicated "Bob & Tom" show ([ www.bobandtom.com ]) on which Birbilia is a frequent guest and favorite. The station is running ads, remotes and on-air mentions for the show and we have enthusiastic cooperation from the University toward marketing the show to its student body on campus. In the meantime, MTP executives are working diligently to secure their next Concert(s) for 2009 with venue(s) most likely to be in Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Orlando, Tampa and/or Chicago. The team is also thrilled to be piecing together its recently acquired option, George R.R. Martin's Skin Trade in their Motion Picture development department as they run cast lists with Dino Ladki on 'Fish in a Barrel' and 'Dresden Sun' for Fall casting.
