WEST BERLIN, NJ--(Marketwire - March 11, 2009) - Global Resource Corp. (PINKSHEETS: [ GBRC ]), a developer of a patent-pending microwave technology and machinery for extracting oil and gas, today announced that the company has hired Mr. William Kalp as Director of Marketing. Mr. Kalp joins the company at the critical time as Global Resource is pursuing multiple opportunities for the sale of its microwave technology for economically converting hydrocarbons, including oil and gas, from a wide variety of sources.

Based on the development state of the prototype machine, the Patriot-1, the company is close to the point of sales and the eventual mass production of the Patriot and therefore needed to fill the position to increase the sales outreach of the company as well as raise awareness among various companies in the waste to energy sector. Mr. Kalp will be responsible for the marketing and sales of the technology as the company transforms from a research and development company to a marketer, owner/operator, and manufacturer of commercial machinery for its microwave technology to be used in a broad range of industries.

Mr. Kalp most recently was the President of Ingersoll Production Systems as well as the Director of Sales and Marketing. Prior to Ingersoll he was a Director at Krause-Mauser USA where he established the US division for the Austrian and German based machine tool builder. From 1994 to 2000 Mr. Kalp served as a Director at Ingersoll Milling Machine Company where he was responsible for all production of metal cutting sales and project management for Ford, GM, and Chrysler. In addition, he held various positions at Giddings & Lewis Integrated Automation (The Cross Company), Bendix Robotics, and General Motors.
