US seeks complaints about concert, ticketing business practices

The U.S. government, through the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Department of Justice, has launched an inquiry into the ticketing industry following widespread complaints about high fees, long waits, and website failures during ticket sales for major events like Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. This move comes after previous investigations into Ticketmaster, which merged with Live Nation in 2010, and amid ongoing scrutiny over the company's market dominance and practices. The public can submit their experiences and comments until March 30, 2023, to help inform potential future actions by the FTC.
