JPMorgan Chase appointed Matt Sable and Melissa Smith as co-heads of commercial banking, the largest U.S. lender said on Friday, as it continues to reorganize the unit.

JPMorgan Chase & Co has appointed Doug Petno and John Simmons as the new co-heads of its commercial banking division, effective from February 7, 2025. This strategic move aims to enhance the bank's focus on serving mid-sized companies, which are seen as a key growth area. Petno, previously head of commercial banking, and Simmons, who was the head of middle market banking and specialized industries, will now jointly lead the division. Their appointment comes as part of JPMorgan's broader strategy to strengthen its commercial banking operations, leveraging their extensive experience to drive growth and improve client services in this sector.
