By Nupur Anand, Niket Nishant, Saeed Azhar (Reuters) -One of the leading contenders to become CEO of JPMorgan Chase, Jennifer Piepszak, on Tuesday took herself out of the running for now, raising the chances of a trio of other executives vying for Wall Street's top job.

Jennifer Piepszak, previously considered a leading candidate to succeed Jamie Dimon as CEO of JPMorgan Chase, has withdrawn from the race to focus on her current role as co-CEO of the bank's commercial and investment bank. This development has made the succession plan at JPMorgan less clear, as Piepszak was seen as a strong contender due to her extensive experience and high regard within the company. Her decision to step back comes at a time when the bank is also dealing with the integration of First Republic Bank, which she is overseeing alongside her other responsibilities. This shift leaves the field open for other potential candidates like Marianne Lake, who now solely leads the consumer and community banking division, and other executives like Troy Rohrbaugh and Vis Raghavan, who have recently been promoted to significant roles within the bank. The uncertainty around Dimon's succession continues as he has not set a specific timeline for his retirement, keeping the future leadership of JPMorgan in a state of flux.
