Global electric vehicle sales up 25% in record 2024

This growth comes despite challenges such as high interest rates and economic uncertainty. The report highlights that while the pace of growth has slowed from previous years, the EV market continues to expand, with sales expected to hit 17.5 million units in 2024. Key markets like China, Europe, and the U.S. are driving this growth, with China leading due to strong government support and an extensive charging infrastructure. However, the report also notes that the industry faces hurdles including price competition, supply chain issues, and the need for further development in charging infrastructure to support the increasing number of EVs.
