Brian Anderson, who has been instrumental in driving the growth of Akron's polymer industry through his leadership at the Akron Polymer Innovation Cluster (APIC), has decided to take a break from his role. Anderson, who has served as the executive director of APIC since 2018, has been pivotal in fostering collaboration among polymer companies, academia, and government to enhance innovation and economic development in the region. Under his guidance, APIC has seen significant achievements, including the establishment of the Ohio Polymer Ambassadors program and the Polymer Industry Cluster, which have helped in attracting new businesses and supporting existing ones. His departure comes at a time when APIC is preparing for its next phase of development, with plans to continue its mission of advancing the polymer industry in Northeast Ohio.
