Dubai unveils major new strategies for innovation, resilience and food security

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, approved the series of new initiatives to enhance Dubai's innovation ecosystem and strengthen its preparedness for future challenges.
Dubai has launched three significant strategies aimed at enhancing innovation, resilience, and food security. The Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) seeks to double the size of Dubai's economy over the next decade, focusing on attracting global talent, fostering innovation, and supporting SMEs. The Dubai Resilience Strategy, part of the Dubai Future Foundation's efforts, aims to make the city more adaptable to global changes and disruptions through advanced planning and technology integration. Additionally, the Dubai Food Security Strategy targets self-sufficiency in food production, reducing reliance on imports, and ensuring sustainable food supplies by promoting local agriculture, vertical farming, and other innovative agricultural practices. These initiatives collectively aim to position Dubai as a leading global city in terms of economic growth, resilience against future challenges, and food security.
