Members of a credit union being acquired by Sunward, formerly Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union, have voted yes to the deal.

The article from the Albuquerque Journal discusses the ongoing construction of the Albuquerque Rail Trail, a project aimed at transforming a 7-mile stretch of abandoned railroad tracks into a pedestrian and bike path. The trail, which will connect the Railyards to the North Diversion Channel, is part of a broader initiative to enhance urban connectivity and promote non-motorized transportation in Albuquerque. The project has faced delays due to various issues including utility conflicts and the need for environmental remediation. Despite these challenges, significant progress has been made, with sections of the trail already open to the public. The city has invested in making the trail not only a pathway but also an attraction with public art installations, lighting, and landscaping. The completion of the trail is anticipated to boost local tourism, provide recreational space, and improve the quality of life for residents by offering a safe, scenic route through the city.
