CCB Selects Vera H. Primm As New CFO -- SOUTH HILL, Va., May 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

SOUTH HILL, Va., May 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Citizens Community Bank (OTC: CZYB) announces the addition of Vera H. Primm as its new Chief Financial Officer. She began serving on May 1, 2013, and succeeds James R. Black following his promotion to Bank President and CEO last November.

Primm has dedicated nearly three decades to Virginia's finance and banking industry. Having previously served as Chief Financial Officer at Bank of Virginia, Peoples Bank of Virginia and F&M Bank, she prefers the spirit of a community bank and is well-positioned to oversee all financial and operational functions of CCB.

"Vera's experience and hands on approach will, no doubt, make a measurable contribution toward the long-term success of our shareholders and customers," says Black. "We welcome her as part of our senior management team."

Originally from Virginia's Northern Neck, Primm earned her undergraduate degree in mathematics and classical studies from Mary Washington College. She also is a graduate of the VBA School of Executive Banking. While fiscal policy, management and reporting top her list of primary responsibilities, delivering profitability and value at every level are keys to success.

Raised on the Chesapeake Bay, Primm is a saltwater angler in her free time. She reads spy novels for pleasure and collects cookbooks and chickens. Married to husband John for 34 years, they have three grown children, three grandchildren, and reside in North Chesterfield.

"CCB's identity as a community bank is tangible at every level," says Primm. "My philosophy is to help the bank succeed in accomplishing its long-term goals while remaining true to its heritage and hallmark service standards."

Citizens Community Bank (CCB) opened in December 1999 as a Virginia state chartered bank. Headquartered in South Hill, Va., CCB operates three additional branches in south central Virginia plus a branch and loan office in northern North Carolina.
