DTE/Engineering Society of Detroit to Announce Winners of E-Challenge Competition -- SOUTHFIELD, Mich., May 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., May 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- At the 2012 DTE/Engineering Society of Detroit (ESD) Energy Conference, DTE Energy issued an E-Challenge to commercial and light industrial companies to create an outstanding energy efficiency product that will have a tremendous impact on energy savings. More than 60 entries were received. Two winners were then selected and given thousands of dollars to test their innovation. After a rigorous judging process conducted by volunteers from ESD, two finalists were chosen and proceeded through the testing and verification phase of the program.

The names of the winners, as well as detail about their products will be unveiled on May 7, 2013 during the DTE/ESD Energy Conference & Exhibition.

In addition to the E-Challenge, the conference will feature four educational tracks and 17 different topics, as well as a keynote presentation on "Moving Forward on Energy Policy on Michigan," by Valerie Brader , Deputy Legal Counsel and Senior Policy Advisor to Michigan Governor Rick Snyder .

With more than 800 people slated to attend, this conference is hailed as the largest of its kind in Michigan. Cost to attend the conference is $65 for ESD members; $85 for non-members or join ESD for $144 and attend the conference for free.
