He highlighted the significant role cooperatives play in India's economy, particularly in agriculture, and suggested that such an institution could help in providing financial support and stability to cooperative sectors worldwide. Modi also discussed the government's initiatives to strengthen the cooperative sector, including the establishment of a separate Ministry of Cooperation and the introduction of digital tools like the National Cooperative Database and the Sahakar Cooptube Namo App. He stressed the importance of cooperatives in achieving self-reliance and inclusive growth, and called for a global dialogue on this issue.
