MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - April 3, 2013) - Extenway Solutions Inc. ("Extenway") (TSX VENTURE:EY) is pleased to announce that a contract has been signed to install and manage some 900 multimedia bedside terminals at the Lanaudière Regional Hospital Centre (CSSS du Nord de Lanaudière), the Pierre-Le Gardeur Hospital (CSSS du Sud de Lanaudière) and the Saint-Jérôme Regional Hospital (CSSS de Saint-Jérôme). The Groupe d'approvisionnement en commun du Nord-Ouest du Québec (Northwest Quebec Joint Procurement Group) chose the Montreal company following a call for tenders after being mandated by the three hospitals to deliver a solution for the replacement of outdated television monitors.

The three hospitals have also announced they intend to integrate medical options to the terminals in the coming years so that medical personnel can access clinical applications such as Quebec health records, electronic clinical records and Citrix. They will also be able to record clinical data (including vital signs and medications) directly on the bedside terminal and use the device to manage patient meal requests.

The hospitals will benefit as well from various options that will streamline processes such as bed management, nurse assistance and patient alarm management. They can also use the new terminals to broadcast public service announcements, promote their foundation, provide patients with the possibility of making an online donation and even present educational segments on medical matters.

In terms of digital entertainment, the Extenway bedside terminal provides access to 40 French and English television channels, internet, movies on demand, audio books, games and digital radio stations. Patients can also stay in touch with their loved ones using the device's videoconferencing and telephone capabilities.

Extenway and the Groupe d'approvisionnement en commun du Nord-Ouest du Québec will establish a schedule for implementing the solution within the coming weeks.
