OneBeacon Announces New Surety Group
MINNETONKA, Minn., Sept. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- OneBeacon Insurance Group, Ltd. (NYSE: [ OB ]) has announced the formation of its newest specialty business—OneBeacon Surety Group. The new business is managed by OneBeacon Surety Group President Chad Anderson and will focus on a broad variety of commercial surety business in all 50 states, as well as Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico. Anderson reports to OneBeacon's President and Chief Executive Officer Mike Miller.

Anderson brings nearly 20 years of surety business experience to OneBeacon, having worked for the surety divisions at several leading carriers in positions of increasing responsibility.
OneBeacon Surety Group will offer a broad range of commercial, custom and miscellaneous bonds targeting middle-market, Fortune 2500 companies written through a network of independent agencies, brokers and wholesalers. Business will be serviced through eight regions throughout the United States.
