PHILADELPHIA--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Chemtura Corporation (NYSE: CHMT) announces the expansion of its European Regional Technical Development Center located at the companyas Latina Scalo, Italy, polyurethane prepolymer production facility.

Chemtura Urethanesa Adiprene / Vibrathane European Regional Technical Development Center is currently being expanded in order to house new processing machinery, which will complement the existing Technical Center equipment and facilities, including its existing meter/mix machine that was installed in 2009. The new equipment will include an industrial scale Unipre three-component meter/mix machine with a fully synchronized rotary casting system, which will enable Chemtura to further develop its range of Adiprene Ribbon Flow prepolymer systems used for the rotational casting of industrial rolls that are primarily utilized in the paper, steel, and printing markets. The expansion of the laboratory and installation of the processing equipment is expected to be completed by mid-year.
