NEW YORK, March 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The board of trustees (the "Board") of the Avenue Income Credit Strategies Fund (NYSE: [ ACP ]) (the "Fund") today announced that the annual meeting of shareholders of the Fund will be held on May 17, 2012 at 8:00 a.m., Eastern time, at the offices of Davis Polk& Wardwell LLP located at 450 Lexington Ave., New York, New York. Shareholders of record at the close of business on April 5, 2012 are entitled to be present and to vote at the meeting or any adjournment thereof.  At the meeting, such shareholders will be asked to vote on the election of one Class I trustee of the Board of the Fund.

The Fund is a recently organized, non-diversified, closed-end management investment company.
