NEW YORK, Nov. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- AllianceBernstein L.P. (AllianceBernstein) announced today the appointment of Wendy Brodkin to the position of Managing Director responsible for business development and client service for institutional investors in Canada. She is based in the firm's Toronto office. 

Brodkin brings 25 years of experience in the Canadian institutional investment industry to her new position. Most recently, Brodkin was Vice President at T. Rowe Price (Canada), Inc from 2007 to 2011. She established that firm's office in Toronto in early 2007 and was responsible for building and managing its institutional investor business in Canada. Prior to that, she held a number of different roles with other institutions, including a pension plan sponsor, consultant, and investment manager.

Brodkin received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, Masters in Business Administration from York University, Graduate Diploma in Public Accountancy from McGill University, and completed the Directors Education Program at the University Of Toronto-Rotman School Of Management.

She also holds a CA, CFA and has earned her ICD.D (Institute of Corporate Directors) certification.
