PrimeWest Exploration Inc. (the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:PWI) is pleased to announce that Ross Jones, of Calgary, Alberta, has been appointed to the positions of President, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation, and Charles Chapman, of Calgary, Alberta, has been appointed to the position of Chairman of the Board. Mr. Greg Noval has tendered his resignation as the President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of the Corporation and Mr. Manjeet Dhillon has tendered his resignation as Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation. Mr. Noval's and Mr. Dhillon's resignations take effect immediately. Greg Noval of Turner Valley, Alberta maintains a controlling interest in the Corporation, as he currently beneficially owns or controls 1,300,000 common shares of the Corporation, or 26% of the Corporation.

The Board would like to thank Mr. Noval for his contributions to the Corporation during his tenure as an officer and director. Mr. Noval is looking forward to new opportunities and the Corporation wishes him success in his future endeavours. The Corporation would like to thank Mr. Dhillon for his contributions to the Corporation during his tenure as an officer.

The Corporation is incorporated under the provisions of the Business Corporations Act (Alberta) and has a registered office in Calgary, Alberta. It is a "capital pool company" under the policies of the TSX Venture Exchange and is still in the process of completing its "Qualifying Transaction".
