Pacific Capital Bancorp Announces Completion of Rights Offering

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Pacific Capital Bancorp (Nasdaq:PCBC) announced today the completion of its previously announced rights offering, which expired at 5:00 p.m., New York City time, on November 19, 2010. Shareholders exercised subscription rights to purchase 382,183,137 shares of common stock at a subscription price of $0.20 per share. In total, the Company raised gross proceeds of approximately $76.4 million before expenses. The Company intends to use the net proceeds from the rights offering for general corporate purposes, including an investment in its wholly-owned banking subsidiary, Pacific Capital Bank, N.A.
