SANTA ANA, CA--(Marketwire - May 6, 2010) - BioCentric Energy Holdings, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: [ BEHL ]) is pleased to announce that deposits were received and contracts were finalized last week for the first phase of deployment of the Company's PBR (commercial closed-loop photobioreactor) systems. The meeting with the site surveyors and grading engineers on the Southern California property took place last Wednesday and the Company is actively moving forward with the land preparation. Furthermore, the proprietary PLCs and necessary equipment to control the PBRs have been ordered and the assembly will commence as early as next week.

In support of the first commercial PBRs, there are several other steps now taking place at the BioCentric Energy headquarters in Santa Ana, California. These steps include the completion of the Company's improved Wall Reactor that will provide large and continuous volumes of inoculums for the PBRs. BioCentric Energy's harvesting equipment is being optimized for scale-up and large quantities of algae. The Company's demo unit (in Santa Ana) has been modified to purposefully mirror the expected conditions at the first commercial site.

BioCentric Energy received three signed VAR (value added reseller) agreements in the past week representing clients from a wide range of industries. These potentially large clients are seeking the Company's commercial PBRs to monetize CO2 emissions, utilize idle land not suitable for traditional farming and organic sources of nutritional products.

Last Thursday Dr. Brian Goodall (CEO) presented at the National Algae Association meeting in Houston, Texas. The presentation was well received, resulting in significant interest and follow-up discussions from many participants (approximately 140 attendees in total). BioCentric Energy was honored (together with two other algae companies) with an "Algaepreneur" award in recognition of the company's pioneering contributions in the commercialization of the emerging algae business. Dr. Goodall will be sharing a detailed report on the presentation, and related topics with our shareholders in the next few days.
