














Brownstone Ventures Inc. Election of New Director

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 27, 2009) - Brownstone Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BWN) is pleased to announce the election of Kevin O'Connor to its board of directors. Mr. O'Connor was elected to the board, along with incumbent directors Sheldon Inwentash, Steven Mintz and Michael Sweatman, at the annual and special meeting of shareholders held November 26, 2009. Mr. O'Connor has also been appointed as a member of the company's audit committee.
Mr. O'Connor is the co-founder and a partner of Spinnaker Capital Markets Inc., a Toronto-based capital markets advisory firm. Prior to founding Spinnaker, Mr. O'Connor co-founded Genoa Management Limited, and served as Vice President of Investor Relations for Pendaries Petroleum Ltd., a TSX and AMEX listed oil and gas company, and President and CEO of White Pine Resources Inc. (formerly WSR Resources Inc.), a TSX Venture Exchange listed resource exploration company, where he currently serves a director. He is also a director of Quetzal Energy Ltd., a petroleum and mineral exploration company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
In connection with his election to the board, an aggregate of 50,000 stock options were granted to Mr. O'Connor under the company's stock option plan. Each option is exercisable to acquire one common share of the company at a price of $0.75 per share for a term of up to five years. The options will vest quarterly over a period of 18 months.
