TYSONS CORNER, Va.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Cardinal Bank (NASDAQ:CFNL) announced today that it will collaborate with George Mason University and the Washington Business Journal to present the 17th Annual Cardinal Bank and George Mason University Greater Washington Economic Conference: Tracking the Economy's Growth.

This premier regional economic conference will take place on Tuesday, January 13, 2009, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon, at The Ritz Carlton, Tysons Corner. The conference provides an effective forum for business and political leaders to gain actionable insight on where Greater Washington's economy is headed in 2009 and beyond.

Other distinguished speakers at the conference include Steven Pearlstein, Columnist, The Washington Post, and John McClain, Senior Fellow and Deputy Director, Center for Regional Analysis – George Mason University. Alex Orfinger, Publisher, Washington Business Journal, will serve as our conference moderator. A final highlight of the morning will be the award presentation to Dr. Stephen Fuller or Mr. Steven Pearlstein, as winner of the Cardinal Bank 2008 Economic Challenge.
