The New York Mets announced a change in their business leadership, with M. Scott Havens appointed as the new president of business operations, effective February 12, 2024. Havens, who previously served as CEO of Bloomberg Media and held senior roles at Time Inc. and The Atlantic, will oversee all business and commercial operations for the Mets and their affiliates, including Citi Field and the team's minor league clubs. He succeeds Sandy Alderson, who will transition to a senior advisor role within the organization. This move is part of the Mets' strategy to enhance their business operations and fan experience under the ownership of Steve Cohen.
