Nearly 80% of U.S. CEOs said they could lose their jobs within two years if they don't deliver AI-driven business gains.
In a recent survey conducted by Fortune, a significant number of CEOs expressed concerns about the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to disrupt their roles, with 43% fearing that AI could lead to them losing their jobs within the next five years. The survey, which included responses from over 300 CEOs across various industries, highlighted a growing unease among top executives about AI's rapid advancement and its impact on traditional leadership functions. Many CEOs acknowledged that AI's ability to analyze data, make decisions, and even mimic human interaction could render certain aspects of their roles obsolete. However, the survey also revealed that some CEOs are optimistic about AI, viewing it as a tool that can enhance their decision-making capabilities and improve overall business efficiency, provided they adapt and integrate AI into their strategic planning.
