Shriram Finance has successfully raised $1.27 billion through a multi-currency syndicated loan, marking it as the largest such transaction by an Indian non-banking financial company (NBFC). The loan was facilitated by MUFG Bank as the lead arranger, coordinator, and bookrunner, with participation from 16 banks across 11 countries. The funds were raised in three tranches: $750 million in USD, $300 million in JPY, and $225 million in EUR. This financial move aims to diversify Shriram Finance's funding sources and enhance its international presence. The loan, which has a three-year term, will be utilized for onward lending and other corporate purposes, showcasing the company's robust financial strategy and its ability to attract significant foreign investment.
