  • Caley Rangers, a Girlguiding unit based in Otley, has received a grant of
  • 250 from Skipton Business Finance's Communities Matter scheme.

The Otley Girlguiding unit has received a £1,000 grant from the Skipton Building Society's Charitable Foundation to support its activities. This funding will help cover the costs of badges, equipment, and trips, ensuring that all members, regardless of their financial background, can participate fully in the group's activities. The grant is part of the foundation's initiative to support local community groups, particularly those aiding young people. The Girlguiding unit, which includes Rainbows, Brownies, and Guides, aims to provide a safe and inclusive environment where girls can develop skills, make friends, and have fun. The donation will also assist in maintaining the unit's operations amidst rising costs, ensuring that no girl is excluded due to financial constraints.
