Disney Hires Sky Finance Boss to Run Disney+ In EMEA
- Karl Holmes has been named Disney+ EMEA boss, joining from Sky and replacing Luke Bradley-Jones, who went to the economist.
Karl Holmes has been appointed as the General Manager for Disney+ in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region, effective immediately. Previously, he served as the Executive Vice President of Media and Operations for EMEA at The Walt Disney Company. In his new role, Holmes will oversee the strategic direction and growth of Disney+ in this key market, focusing on enhancing user experience, content strategy, and expanding the subscriber base. His appointment comes at a time when Disney+ is looking to strengthen its market position amidst increasing competition in the streaming sector. Holmes will report to Jan Koeppen, President of The Walt Disney Company EMEA, and will work closely with other Disney executives to align the service's offerings with regional consumer preferences and trends.
