The British Business Bank has launched the Community Enable Funding Programme, aimed at enhancing the availability of funding for social impact sector lenders. This initiative, backed by a £15 million investment from the Bank, seeks to support social enterprises, charities, and community businesses by providing them with the necessary capital to grow and achieve their social missions. The program will offer loans to social impact lenders, which in turn will lend to smaller organizations that might struggle to access traditional finance. This move is part of the Bank's broader strategy to foster economic growth and address regional imbalances by supporting businesses that deliver positive social outcomes. The funding is expected to help these organizations scale up their operations, create jobs, and contribute to community development.
