Extenway Terminals: Hospitals in Gatineau and Hull Enter the 21st Century

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - March 26, 2013) - Extenway Solutions Inc. ("Extenway") (TSX VENTURE:EY) is pleased to announce that financing has been arranged and a contract signed with the CSSS de Gatineau health and social services centre for delivery of bedside terminals to Gatineau and Hull hospitals, and that installation work has now begun.

In November 2012, Extenway was chosen by the CSSS de Gatineau Foundation following a call for tenders on a project to deliver a solution for the replacement of outdated television monitors. Signature of the contract was conditional on obtaining the required financing on the basis of an agreement concluded with a financial institution. This agreement was announced on March 22, 2010, and provides Extenway with term loan facilities, subject to certain conditions, of up to a maximum of $25 million.

Starting in June, residents of the Gatineau and Hull regions will benefit from Extenway's latest solution during a stay in hospital. The contract signed with the CSSS de Gatineau Foundation will allow for installation of bedside terminals for 414 hospital beds in Gatineau and Hull.

The new Extenway terminals that will replace conventional television sets and allow access to a complete range of entertainment options - digital television, internet, video on demand, radio and games - plus a series of options including nursing assistance, bed management and access to various hospital surveys and forms, as well as videoconferencing and communication with the foundation and the hospital.

"This agreement for a period of 10 years includes operation, management and upkeep of the bedside terminals. Extenway will accordingly provide client services and on-site technical support as well. For CSSS de Gatineau, this is a one-stop solution. CSSS management and patients in hospital will be able to count on our dedicated staff and benefit from a proven technology at the same time", said Extenway president and CEO, John McAllister.

CSSS de Gatineau is the fourth healthcare institution in North America to be equipped with Extenway bedside terminals, which have been previously installed in the CSSS du Lac-des-Deux-Montagnes, the Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital in Montreal and the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Brooklyn, New York.
